Short version: we ask for your email address, we use it to send you what you asked for and one short email a week, and we don't give it to anyone else. You can leave in one click. The long version is below, because you're entitled to it.
Who is responsible for your data
Quietdesk is run by Emanuele Bonin, Rome, Italy. You can reach the person responsible for your data at [email protected]. A person reads what arrives there, and answers.
What we collect
- Your email address, and only if you type it into the form yourself. Nothing else — no name, no company, no phone number.
- Basic email statistics: whether an email was opened and whether a link in it was clicked. This is standard in every newsletter tool and it tells us which emails are worth writing.
- Anonymous page statistics, if analytics are active on the site: pages viewed, country, type of device. Never your name, never your address.
What we do not collect
We don't ask for and don't want: your name, your employer, your phone number, your health information. This site is about work stress, but nothing you do here tells us anything about your health, and we don't want it to.
The checklist ticks you make on the home page are stored in your own browser and never leave your computer. Clear your browser data and they're gone, including from our side — because they were never on our side.
Why we're allowed to do this
Under the GDPR we rely on your consent: you typed your address into a form to receive something specific. That consent is yours to withdraw at any moment, and withdrawing it costs you one click.
Who else sees it
Our email tool, because it's what physically sends the emails. That's it. We do not sell the list, we do not rent it, we do not trade it, and we do not upload it to advertising platforms.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe we keep the bare minimum needed to make sure we don't email you again by mistake.
What you can ask us to do
- Tell you what we hold on you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Send it to you in a portable file
- Stop using it
Write to [email protected]. We answer within thirty days, and usually a lot sooner. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies of its own. If anonymous analytics are in use, they're set to the least invasive configuration available. The only thing stored in your browser by us is the checklist state described above, and that isn't a cookie — it's local storage, and it never travels anywhere.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you sign up for a product through one, the company may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. Those companies may set their own cookies once you land on their site — from that moment their privacy policy applies, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure.
Nothing here is medical advice. Quietdesk is not a clinic, a therapy service or a healthcare provider, and nothing you read here is a diagnosis or a treatment. If anxiety is getting in the way of your life, talk to a doctor.
